There is a specific cadence to life on the coast. It asks for a vehicle that feels special and unique, allowing drivers to enjoy their surroundings. The EMC Wolf has been designed to provide this exact experience, maintaining the authentic charm of the vintage G-Wagen while also providing a modern drive.
At its core, the Mercedes-Benz 250GD Wolf is a utilitarian, military-born Geländewagen that became known for its incredible reliability and unique driving experience. Expedition Motor Company builds on this terrific foundation, refining and re-engineering the Wolf to provide one of the most unique driving experiences available on the market.

This 1990s G-Wagon is defined by duality. Every build is restored to a collector-grade standard, stripped, corrected, and rebuilt with an obsessive respect for the vehicle’s original character. The stance, the proportions, the ergonomic simplicity: those are not accidents. They are the point.
That said, authenticity doesn't mean you have to sacrifice comfort or drivability. A true 1990s G-Wagon has a feel you cannot replicate, but in original form, the SWB Wolf was spartan and uncompromising with a focus on the soldier's need in the face of a combat environment. We keep the character, then add our modern design features.
Our engineering is integrated where it matters most, the systems that make a vehicle usable over distance and in real conditions. Suspension is resolved for composure and comfort. Braking is brought up to expectation. Comfort features are incorporated with restraint. The result is a classic G-Wagon that feels period-correct, but no longer asks you to tolerate it.

This is why the EMC custom G-Wagon drives the way it does, and why it is consistently praised in automotive journalist reviews. Each build is the result of a 2,500 man-hour restoration that sees every single component on the vehicle restored, replaced, or upgraded. This process is informed by our eight years of dedication to the Mercedes-Benz 250GD Wolf, with more than 175 builds completed and delivered to date.
Coastal touring has its own demands. The EMC Wolf is finished to a high standard and is fundamentally built for genuine use.

Rather than fragile leather or alcantara, materials that degrade quickly under sun and humidity, we use advanced weatherproof upholstery engineered for durability and cleanability. It is designed to handle the remnants of a day at the water: damp towels, sunscreen, salt, sand. When necessary, it can be cleaned with robust solutions without compromising how it feels and looks. The interior stays tailored, even when the lifestyle is not.

EMC G-Wagen Features:

We offer three different soft tops for our vehicles, providing multiple options for our clients depending on how they prefer to enjoy the vehicle:

Full coverage for the interior with side panels that can be rolled up safari style for airflow while keeping the roof in place.

Overhead coverage for the full cabin with the sides left completely open. Provides an open-air feel with shade coverage.

Overhead coverage for the front two passengers with the rest of the vehicle left open.

The EMC Wolf is a classic Mercedes-Benz cabriolet restored to a collector-grade standard and engineered so the vehicle drives as good as it looks. This is coastal touring as it should be in a vintage G-Wagon.
